A Tiffany Favrile Glass and Bronze Dogwood Border Lamp, 1899-1920

This lamp appeared in Sotheby's June 1996 sale of items from the Warshawsky collection.

The domical shade composed of radiating bands of mottled ochre and amber glass tiles with a lower border of dogwood blossoms, buds and leafage in striated and mottled shades of rose, caramel, coral, lemon yellow, mint and grass green; on a three arm support above a columnar standard incised with scrolling lappets, the cushion-form base cast with raised lappets and dots; further raised on four petal-form feet, has finial, rich brown patina, shade impressed TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 1654, base impressed TIFFANY STUDIOS/28614. Height 21 1/4", diameter 16".
