Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, Rochester, NY

Saint Paul's Episcopal Church is situated at 25 Westminster Rd. in Rochester, New York. It was founded in 1827 and is the second olderst parrish in Rochester. There is little documentation on their stained glass windows and efforts to find more have not been successful at present. We do have titles of most windows but installation dates are a little uncertain. Most of the Tiffany windows show the outstanding design and construction of their earlier works with particular reference to plating and the use of drapery glass. The faith hope and charity window is huge and one can only wonder at how this work was brought from New York City to Rochester and later assembled here. Standing beneath it and gazing up at its huge scale and complexity make for an awe-inspiring experience.
