Provenance: The offered lot was orignally installed in the Pacific Residence Hotel, Santa Monica, California.

Literature: Paul Crist, Mosaic Shades, Volume II, Paul Crist Studios, 2005, page 227 for an illustration of a yellow poppy floor lamp and page 306 for a period black and white photograph of a poppy hanging lamp. Paul Crist notes that only one yellow poppy lamp has come to light before this.
