Kramer Brothers Arts & Crafts Chadelier

This shade dates from 1915-1920 and a similar verion of this design appears in the appendix of Mosaic Shades Vol 2.

The shade is 24" in diameter and has very deep sides which makes it quite an imposing piece that's difficult to handle. It's shown here on a floor base, it had no hanging hardware.

The shade had damage and a badly installed 5" ring which I replaced along with numerous other broken segments. The bent glass shoulders were replicated by Jeffrey Muller at Godfrey Muller Studios here in Rochester as I didn't have a kiln.

These Kramers and others that are silimar are today's bargains and once spotted, can be purchased very cheaply.
