Wilkinson Geometric Leaded Glass Lamp

A very high quality and detailed leaded lamp shade made by Wilkinson in Brooklyn, New York just after the turn of the century. This shade is a stylized Daffodil design in the Art Nouveau influence. It is a parasol style shape with Art Nouveau influence. The colors are bright and just stunning. The floral border is slanted down and the flower petals drop in an irregular pattern. This is a very intricate shade, and quite detailed. The shade is 22 inches wide and 9 inches deep. The lamp is 26 inches high. The base is 8 1/2 inches wide.

This base is extremely heavy, it's solid bronze, weighs about 40 pounds. This is the extremely large size base made for a shade like this one that is 22 inches wide. The base has its original Wilkinson locking heat cap, bryant sockets, acorn pulls and original finial. The base has the typical three numbers incised on the base indicating Wilkinson model number 542, the base design is also a known Wilkinson pattern, with the four impressed circles.
