Colonial Art Glass Company, snowball Table Lamp
Overall hydrangea floral lamp circa 1910. It measures an impressive 22" in diameter and stands 25" tall.
The base is a wonderful Art Nouveau tree trunk with the roots swirling on the bottom platform. This goes up a detailed mid-section up to a 4 socket cluster. Since the pictures were taken, I added 4 long acorn pull chains which really finished the lamp off beautifully. They really stand out and look great hanging below the shade.
The finish on the base is original as well as the sockets, cap and finial. The shade is a very detailed hydrangea pattern with varying reddish pink hydrangea flowers with some mauve/brown mixed in. My guess on the different colors is due to the artist interpretation of the flowers in full bloom and some starting to wilt. The shade is very colorful with great proportions for the flowers and leaves.
