American Lead Came Glass Chandelier
An interesting shade constructed with colonial style came (v-topped).
According to Paul Crist, the came is likely to be zinc instead of lead. He states:
"That came and competent technical workmanship almost certainly point to one of the competent Chicago Arts & Crafts window studios- such as Flannagan & Biedenwig, Linden, Healy & Millet, McCully and Miles, Giannini & Hilgart, etc. Unfortunately, shades were only a sideline to these companies and documentary evidence as to what they produced is sparse. These folded cames were a Chicago area phenomenon and used almost nowhere else, so we at least know this shade came out of Chicago.".
