A fine Tiffany Favrile Glass Swirling Dragonfly Chandelier, 1899-1928
This lamp appeared in Sotheby's June 1996 auction of Lamps from The Warshawsky Collection. The conical shade composed of eight circling dragonflies with mottled and striated aquamarine, lavendar and blue, ochre, olive green and amber bodies, their wings of striated lavendar, blue, streaked oxblood red and gray and green glass, overlaid with bronze filigree, with emerald-green ruby red and ochre eyes; against a brightly colored ground studded with brilliantly colored glass cabochons in turquoise, violoet, amber and red, has beaded bronze lower rim, impressed TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 616-4.
